Pass Under the Moonlight

Erik was the first to leave. And now its started. One by one our dear group of friends from elementary school is being torn apart by the future. This is the point where we break away from dependence and begin a new chapter. We all spent the evening at Erik's house, better known by most of Laguna's high school population as party central where anyone whos anyone has been way too wasted for their own good. But for those close to Erik we had to say farewell, at least for a while, to a home that we called ours. We all found ourselves in the kitchen retelling our favorite memories about the infamous residence, like the time fit fifteen people onto Erik's mini-trampoline and then ate jellybeans or the time Erik threatened everyone with a knife when one of his parties got too wild, and who could forget the egg chair? The night ended with us returning to our middle school blacktop, a place where many of us became friends, to lie out and watch the last meteor shower of our lifetime.

Chelsea and I visited the Dan Flavin exhibit at the LACMA on Saturday, something that was postponed far too long
